Rachel "Raven" Roth

It all began one night when strange occurrences were happening to me. Visions of, the past? The future? I don't know — just, dream after dream. It was that time that these powers started to manifest. My "Black Magic," as I like to call them. And — well, let's just say my average life took a bit of a lopsided turn from there. . .

About Rachel:

My portrayal of Rachel Roth is a variation of the Teen Titans: Raven light novel by Kami Garcia, with my own take on it. Rachel has been living with her foster parents for 17 years. She was an ordinary high schooler in a small town with a love for gothic fashion. Being a quiet individual, she didn't have a large circle of friends, which helped out in the long run when her powers began to manifest themselves.

It originally began as a dream, or vision, of a seemingly fantastical place known as "Azarath," or so she knows. It just so happens to be a part of the primary incantation that had been carved into her skull through the same dreams.

Life was anything but normal after that. She was quick to discover that her emotions were linked to her abilities. Rachel wasn't one to be full of emotions in general, luckily, but it took a while to adjust still. The incantation, "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos," helps to control this kind of black magic, but she would never be the same again.

A year has passed, and Rachel had been doing her part as a small time vigilante in her town in New Orleans. It's no Gotham City or Metropolis; no big bad guys to put down or anything, but she likes it. At the worst, she has to worry about her little rivrarly with the local law enforcement. They're not as keen on vigilante work as other cities may be.

Life's been hectic.

Though, with recent visions of a man, or. . . A monster, even, things are only just beginning to get complicated. . .
